これは自分用のメモなので読み飛ばしてください。

ただし、PMP（プロジェクトマネジメントの資格）を持っている人は参考になるかも。

今日、PMIからメールで「あなたは2009年10月31日でPMP認定の有効期限がきれて停止期間になっています。停止期間は1年間なのでそれも今年10末できれました」という趣旨のものです。

PMPは2002年に取得し数年前までアルバイト的にたまに使ってはもう数年使っていないのでやめました。（更新には60ドル、PMI非会員は150ドルかかります）

再認定はPDUというのを必要単位取得するんだが、講習会等を受けてもとれるが結構めんどう。私はプロジェクト管理の講習をやったりしていたのでそういうのでもPDUは取得できます。今回も過去の講習を集めれば申請できるかも知れないがお金もかかるし止めました。

2005年に再認定をしましたが、このときはPDUを取れることをやっていたのでわりと簡単に延長できました。

その後なんだかルールが変更になり有効期限が延長になりました。

This is a reminder that your Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential was suspended as of 31 Oct 2009. During the suspension period, which is one year (12 months) following your certification cycle end date, you may not refer to yourself as a PMP or use the PMP designation.

You can use your suspension period to earn and claim the professional development units (PDUs) necessary to renew your PMP credential or to submit your certification renewal application with no penalty.

YOU CAN EARN PDUs IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS DURING THE SUSPENSION YEAR

Attend a PMI® global congress, SeminarsWorld® course or a PMI Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s) course to build your knowledge.
Participate in an eSeminarsWorld^SM courses which provides training online.
Take a PMI® Publication Quiz to test your knowledge on a project management-related article.
Volunteer for your local PMI chapter or a non-profit, not-for profit, or charitable organization of your choice.
Write articles, speak on a panel, serve as a mentor or receive mentoring.
Practice project management professionally.
Study under a degree program whose courses relate to project management.

Review the PDU categories for ALL the ways you can earn PDUs in your credential handbook.

ALREADY HAVE THE REQUIRED PDUs? TIPS FOR RENEWING YOUR CREDENTIAL
Once you earn and report the required amount of PDUs, you can complete the credential renewal process by:

Complete the online Application for Renewal at https://certification.pmi.org/
Reaffirm PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
Reaffirm PMI Certification Application/Renewal Agreement
Submit the credential renewal fee—US$60 for PMI members; US$150 for nonmembers

We hope that you will remember the value of your credential and all the effort you put into earning it, and not let it lapse past this year-long suspension period. If you do not renew your credential within the suspension year, it will expire. Once it expires, you will need to reapply and retake the exam to regain the PMP credential.
